THE ANCIENT SERBIAN LAND OF OLD RAS, THE FIRST SERBIAN CAPITAL, THE MAIN STRONGHOLD OF THE NEMANJIC DYNASTY (1166 – 1370,AND THE CRADLE OF THE SERBIAN EMPIRE. IT IS THE BIRTPLACE OF SEVEN SERBIAN KINGS AND TWO SERBIAN EMPERORS. THE BIRTHLAND OF SAINT SAVA, A SERBIAN PRINCE, A MONK, A WRITER, A DIPLOMAT AND THE FIRST ARCHBISHOP OF THE AUTOCEPHALOUS SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH. IT IS THE LAND ON WHICH THE FIRST DIOCESE AND ARCHBISHOPRIC WERE FORMED AS WELL AS THE FIRST SERBIAN HOSPITAL IT IS THE STARTING POINT OF SERBIAN SCHOOL SYSTEM, BOOK WRITING AND DEVELOPMENT OF SERBIAN SPIRITUALITY.
ASH TREE
ASH TREE, A HOLY TREE OF UNUSUAL MAGICAL POWERS AND GREAT SAVING POWER, IS A SYMBOL OF FERTILITY – CONSIDERED TO BESTOW ENDLESS OFFSPRING AND PROTECT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE. IN THE SERBIAN CHURCH TRADITION IT REPRESENTS STEADINESS IN FAITH, LOVE AND LIFE AND IT IS USED IN CHRISTMAS RITUALS AS CHRISTMAS TREE – „OUR RELATIVE: IF THERE IS NO CHURCH IN A PARTICULAR PLACE ITS ROLE CAN BE TAKEN OVER BY A CONSECRATED OAK TREE WITH ENGRAVED CROSS CALLED „INSCRIPTION’: PRAYERS FOR HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF PEOPLE., PROTECTION AND GROWTH OF CROPS AND CATTLE ARE HELD UNDER „INSCRIPTION’: OAK TREE IS A SYMBOL OF HAPPINESS, TRUTH AND LIFE AS WELL AS STRENGTH, WISDOM AND HONOUR.
LINDEN TREE
LINDEN TREE IS A HOLY, DIVINE, REMEDIAL TREE, A HEALER AND A MIGHTY HOME AND FIRE PROTECTOR IT ADJURES HAPPINESS AND WELLBEING AS WELL AS GOOD INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS. THIS ROUND STONE WITH A HOLE IN THE CENTRE REPRESENTS SUN, A WHEEL OF LIFE, A CIRCLE OF DEATH AND REBIRTH, REVIVAL AND ETERNAL SIN AND REDEMPTION CYCLE. STONE AS EVERLASTING MATERIAL HAS SPECIAL POWERS BASED ON THE BELIEF THAT THERE IS A CLOSE AND UNBREAKABLE LINK BETWEEN THE STONE ITSELF AND SOUL.

HAWTHORN
HOLY HAWTHORN IS A GREATEST PROTECTOR AGAINST ALL DEMONS. HAWTHORN STAKE IS USED FOR KILLING VAMPIRES, REPELLING WITCHES WHILE ITS THORNS DISPEL EVIL SPIRITS AND PROTECT HOME FROM ALL EVIL POWERS. HAWTHORN IS USED IN CHRISTMAS RITUALS AND BLACK HAWTHORN IS USED FOR MAKING SAVING AMULETS AND LIFE CREATING CROSSES. FOOD CAN BE OFFERED AS SACRIFICE SO THAT HAWTHORN MIGHT TAKE OVER AN INCURABLE DISEASE OR INCONSOLABLE PAIN AND ENABLE THE PATIENT TO RECOVER. CORNEL TREE
Saving Cornel tree ranks among strongest amulets against evil powers and diseases. Cornel tree water is used in ceremonial washing of people and cattle while its twigs are used for whanging and sprinkling in order to be “as healthy as a Cornel tree”, and as strong and persistent as a Cornel tree. Cornel twigs are placed in doors and windows of houses and barns as a protection against disasters and evil in general. Thus, it is a symbol of goodness, safety and prosperity. It is used in rituals at Christmas, Epiphany, Newlyweds Day and Annunciation.
LARCH TREE
Larch tree is a holy and lucky tree that has healing powers. It protects home from illnesses, demons and witches. It is a symbol of longevity, victory, holiness and mystery. It is used for making protective amulets, crosses, it is sewn in clothes or carried in wallets for good luck. The Larch tree magical powers result from its longevity as it may live for over 3,000 years. It is a “fairy tree” that grows in clean areas. Ants, caterpillars and aphids cannot harm Larch tree as it has poisonous roots, trunk, needles and leaves.
WILLOW тREE
Willow tree is a symbol of prosperity and rejuvenation. It transmits vital energy to sick, old and young people. On Lazarus Saturday, when according to Bible, Jesus Christ raised his dead friend Lazarus to life again, willow twigs are used for decorating wells, doors and windows and garden fences. Willow twigs are taken to churches and after being consecrated, they are considered to be remedial and kept at home all over the year. Its power and strength lies in slenderness and flexibility of branches that cannot be broken by strong winds. Willow tree is used in religious rituals and ceremonies of Serbian people.

The box is hard, with a gold neck and gold print, covered with black material. At the bottom of the box there is a raised part in which the stone is placed.

RAIN-WASHED AND SUN-DRIED, SERBIAN STONE FROM COLD SPRINGS. FROM THIS STONE, POPULARLY CALLED „SEDRA“ (TUFF) OR „SIGA“, LARGE NUMBER OF SERBIAN MEDIEVAL MONASTERIES AND CHURCHES WERE BUILT.
